They keep all the corporate folks, but layoff the "boots on the ground" staff, merging titles and job responsibilities. Very short nursing staff, which leads to low star ratings. This is just the beginning.... more to come... more centers to sell......more layoffs......but keeping all corporate in tack. Run away from this corporation.

On the contrary, they've cut nearly half their corporate employees! You have no idea what you are talking about.
I have worked for Genesis for 4 years, I take the good, the bad and the ugly. It is awful what Medicare does to seniors, and our entire screwed up system of delivering Health Care in this country . But Genesis , like other big companies get greedy, expand too quickly, FDA too fast and put lots of pressure on the lower down employees. But I got news for you, all staffing companies are the same, ditto ditto ditto.
Another layoff at Corporate, Kennett Square. Same format as noted below. Conference call with video turned OFF and the excuse is "Your POSITION Is No Longer Available". And yes, it seems like they are targeting OLDER people. And yes, this age group has a more difficult time finding employment. No warning either, I was shocked as I actually perform 3 distinct jobs and have been with the company for years. I have my youngest child to support in college, just started. Single parent. This is tough.
Heard they laid off the entire leave of absence department two weeks ago..........i quit a few months ago thankfully. no job security..

Genesis shows no loyalty to, no remorse when it comes to long time employment"positions# The higher ups have nothing to worry about. They are still getting their full salaries which if genesis in diverted some of their income while it would help or fix a BROKEN genesis. WISE UP GENESIS. All of us on a shrinking ship.

Genesis just had another huge layoff at Corp with the excuse “Your job is no no longer available at Genesis.” Over telephone conference with the video turned off. Seem to be targeting older people.
Spouse used to work for them. Thank GOD that's over! Never seen anything like it.
I worked with the company a long time and no loyalty whatsoever- they have MANY executives that have similar responsibilities and the company is very TOP Heavy that they maintain the same ideology that caused them to go bankrupt before and will lead to their demise this time again. Good old boy at the top- cutting in centers and field in what made them successful before-
Not true! They did HUGE layoffs here at Corporate. I agree that this is not the greatest company to work for. It also seems like they targeted the people who worked here the longest and made more money. Older people who would have trouble finding a new job paying what they were making. The only reason I feel safe is that I make crap. Actually, I take that back. I don't feel safe. No-one is safe here. In the field, in Corporate. Doesn't matter.
