Just because there will be a name change and a new concept, you shouldn't believe in the hype that will include layoffs. Change doesn't always come with negative consequences. All this layoff BS is just made up. Enjoy the weekend, return to your office or cube on Monday, do your job and for once stop this irrational gossip that cannot even be backed up with evidence!

Qualcomm is a destroy all evidence type company. Look at why it lost legal battle with Broadcom years ago. Legal team, HR, ER, safety, etc all follow same rules all of them would lie right to your face. Happened in 2015 when all were asking is there a lay off? All management responded no when they knew damm well there was. HR ER would tell management you need to be a good ambassador to the company, forget about your morals, you tell anybody the truth and you've lost your job. GFY
Why are you getting so agro over a post from hr?
So the fact that Hock Tan himself said that there will be layoffs after Broadcom acquisitions doesn‘t mean anything?
Research AVGO business model. They buy companies and remove/spin off unproductive parts. There is a core business at Q that AVGO is interested in. They don‘t give a damn about the rest.
Can't decide whether to respond to OP or ignore. Either an ignorant fool or a gaslighter. Well, layoffs invariably follow an acquisition of this size (if a darn fool), and well tried (to the gaslighter)...
CA said there will be layoffs. The list is final or very close to final as confirmed by more than one Director.
You can remain in denial, but by mid March this will all be more clear when packages go out.
Lol, nice post HR. How was the flight to cabo on the G550.
