I am curious does anyone know how the specific of the severance pay approved by the stockholders in the merger agreement. I was told my several cabalas employees the directors before the merger was voted forbid any employee from discussing the merger agreement. The directors stated it was extremely important everyone at Cabela's spoke with one voice and everyone would be equal in any final agreement.

Why should the executive team of Crapbela offer to pay severance pay. That's John Morris's baby, he should be paying the severance. Sounds like a PR stunt to me.
How much money did the former executive team contribute to the severance fund? I guess I missed that announcement.
yea, part of that $10M package for 30 year DC and corp employees, that have to be retrained.
that is called Priceless
medical/dental for the rest of the month, cobra option, 4 weeks per year of service, access to a resume/interviewing service and a bunch of training/certification programs, and a I'm so happy to be gone from there smile on my face.
All the the jobs that were eliminated check indeed they are now all listed. Complete crock of sh--.
At the retail level it was min of two weeks and one week for each year of service. I was there 10.5 years and got ten weeks.
2 weeks for each year
To the poster who say Jim and d--k made them a better person. Am I correct you got a one year severance package?
Its all so sad. it seems the lay offs in The Denver media office and the main office was just several persons. I hope this storm blows over soon.
what did you receive as a severance package?
Here is my severance package...We all had a choice to take a job at Cabela's. I thank D--k and Jim (God bless them) for making their company what it was and am proud to have worked there. I also thank them for investing in their leaders. They helped me to become a better person with their investment of making Leaders instead of just bosses. It was more than just a job, it was an adventure.
What was the severance given for each person?
I think that’s highly personal information and a very insensitive question to ask for those laid off. Also, I know for a fact it varied for each person.
