Does anyone know when interviews are to begin or any details on how this is going to go down?

Apply for up to 10 open reqs according to WalmartOne front page. It actually answers a lot of questions. Don’t count on getting a position through any reqs unless you are a favorite of someone with influence just like the ones that kept their positions.
DO NOT BANK ON STAYING EMPLOYED BY WALMART.
Look for a new job on the outside.
I spoke with a good friend who is a former assistant / now dept. manager yesterday; he told me their displaced cos had until last week to apply for an assistant job. This is in the central Il. market.
Anyone out there gotten an interview through Regional Selection for an ASM position yet?
I heard next week all positions that have not been filled will be open in career preferences.
