Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Why we're not seeing much in the news about the Walmart lay offs

To put it as short as I can: 'the news' is no longer real. It's not objective or impartial or even First Amendment protected any more, it's a purchased commodity that is used purely to benefit the elite, aka the One Percenters...aka Walmart, inc.

A couple years back Jeff Bezos, owner of Amazon, bought the Washington Post. That newspaper broke the Watergate story back in the 1970s, the major upheaval that got President Richard Nixon impeachment procedings such that he resigned in disgrace. Point?

You'll never see any story in any news source like that happen again. Not when someone rich enough to buy, create and sell whatever form of 'news' they wish to.

Same with what's going on with Walmart.

News outlets do their best, some more than others. But amoral people with the right money and control, especially over the area where the newspaper is operated, will always win out. Here's an example that goes back 20 years. And it's only seeing the light of day because of any equally wealthy, powerful player who probably has their own newsworthy skeletons in the closet. https://www.washingtonpost.com/lifestyle/style/a-las-vegas-paper-admits-it-killed-a-steve-wynn-story-20-years-ago-but-theres-more-going-on-here/2018/02/05/d8385b66-0a89-11e8-8890-372e2047c935_story.html?utm_term=.56f24acd6458

It's helpful to understand how these people think. Both opposing political party members and the super wealthy corporation owners are not enemies of each other, nor necessarilly even in direct competition. with each other. Think of WWF wrestlers on tv, growling and screaming in each other's faces: same thing. At day's end, all these guys are breaking open the champagne and cavier and living L A R G E .....off of We the People.

Of the United Consumers of America.

You would think the retail industry itself would be news like the car companies were when they got their bailout

Really makes you wonder if the media is being paid millions to keep this quiet

But the Washington Post, being owned by J.B., should be all over the Walmart layoffs since they are a major competitor.

99% of all media outlets are controlled by 6 corporations. They tell us what they want us to know.
