Thread regarding Schlumberger Ltd. layoffs

Well I quit SLB rather than being laid off. I also work for a different major. While I hate SLB as an employer, I do not let those feelings affect my business decisions. If SLB happens to offer the best competitive service on a new tender, I am happy to award them a contract. My new employer pays me to do my best work for the company. If I arbitrarily exclude SLB (a company I despise), then I should not be working for this company. Business is business.

Life is short but not short enough that it's not worth shafting your employer in revenge. You don't go f------ people who are capable of f------ you back big time.

True, I got laid off from slb, found job while after much happier,much much happier,infact I was not happy at slb.

And I did turn down slb off to join back, recently, just because this time I knew I deserve much more.

I don’t know one person who has been let go from SLB who isn’t happier. All thought it was the end of the world at the time. There is life after, and it’s much better.

Kumbayah... You have the opportunity to get back at them without causing damage to your own interests who cares. Slb doesn't provide anything no one else don't without any advantage. Enjoy it!

Maybe he did pick best for his employer by not choosing slb service. Maybe he did not.

Who knows.

Ahh Racism, Bias and feelings of inadequacy...

You worked for Schlumberger they let you go now you work for Shell. Your job now is to get the best for your current employer. If you feel that where you used to work was never this what does it say about you? Did you not stand up and try to make it better? Perhaps this is why you were let go...

Life is short. There is no time to waste on bitterness... Life moves on you need to too...

What is wrong with working in McDonald's???

Isn't it honest work ? Maybe one day he will have his restaurant while we still trembling on paycheck.

There are millions of job more honest than what we do in slb.

Try and explain the importance of professional relationships to a CEO who was born without a personality and with mad cow disease.

Watch the ex SLB bis walking in asking the guy he got fired for jobs and acting like nothing had happened. Classic case of behavioral displacement. It's so rewarding to watch.

There was a time slb was proud of landing its people with operators. Nowadays is simply jealousy and personal grunts. I've seen the slb cancer trying to infect its clients and it's disguisting. Slb truly hires the best and worst but only retains the trash.

Let's hope get gets laid off there too so we can get some contracts.

So where do you really work now, McDonalds? Sorry you lost your job, you're obviously pretty upset, you should try and move on with your life and not dwell on it. You'll forget about slb with time.

Actually this guy doesn't have a job.

A former colleague of mine laid off two years ago and joined a major operator. He got promoted about a year ago to a fairly high position, slb never managed to secure any business with this client since two years ago and we lost all our contracts to local companies and Hal. He was a decision maker.

Slb treated him even worse with his package even after he was following up with his paperwork!

So now, you tell me, isn't this something to happen more often now and later??

This is just someone who writes it here. There are many other cases people consider payback time.

Shell is not slb, they hire people because they know what you can do for them, not because your family is there.

Revenge is sweet in this lousy business. He who laughs last....

Hahaha, only a blue turd would have a comeback like this... Enjoy the payback money can't buy!
