Thread regarding Cabela's Inc. layoffs

Not over yet!!

The mid February one everyone talking about is the regular outfitters. They will look and see how many full timers and cut. Part timers and cut. This is when they will look at pricing, Omni, signage, vd, and so on! Good luck everyone

We were told we would have a meeting in the AM. It was then postponed.. By 9AM i was locked out of email , the help desk number was shut down during this time so we could t get answers. Then had to sit there till 1130 only to be told goodbye. I am trained in multiple departments and wasn’t even given the opportunity to go to another department.... All those job postings were taken down the week of the layoffs. Makes ya wonder ..,

The AGMs they kept certainly weren’t kept because of their qualifications!! And one the AGMs filed a fraudulent workman’s comp claim last year , and brags about it ..

it’s very sad how this took place after so many gave up so much to make their store great !!!!

(Sorry but last post was posted before I could finish.)

Everybody is vulnerable. If you are a Full-Time employee watch your back. They walked so many people out yesterday. It was sad. Especially because they didn't know it was coming. From what I heard they turned off their email addresses and didn't tell them. It was very underhanded of Bass Pro to do this to so many people. Some of these people have been there for years. I suspect that a lot of the managers had a say in who was to be let go so they got rid of their competition. People that could do as good a job as them but are younger and willing to work cheaper were let go.
