ATTENTION MID OHIO VALLEY CITIZENS: PLEASE SHARE!

In a statement released this evening, Marietta Memorial Health System said:

Let me break this down for y'all.

“Over the last few days,

(Translation: if this introduction is true, then in a span of 48-72 hours we determined that we needed to eliminate 150 positions)

Memorial Health System has been undergoing some reorganization

(wow, that's fast work)

and has spent time working with our employees to understand those change

(Translation: working with employees to instruct them that they are no longer employed and there is no severance and we have to do this for the good of our healthcare system. Even though many have worked here for 20+ years. And don't even think about sharing your opinion on social media as we may re hire you if you keep quiet, at a much lower pay rate with no seniority of course.)

We will share that story publicly on Wednesday.

(Translation: Someone in marketing was asked to make this statement and in doing so has helped shed some light as to perhaps why MMH is in this predicament to begin with.)

WTAP: Ask these questions.

How many VP positions exist at MMH? How many were eliminated?

How many Directors positions exist at MMH?

How many were eliminated?

How many senior management bonuses were paid out for year ending 2017?

How many were given back for poor leadership?

How many employees with 10 years or more service were let go?

How many positions will be backfilled?

PLEASE SHARE! PLEASE ADD QUESTIONS!

WAS YOUR NEIGHBOR, FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBER, TERMINATED?

Add their initials and years of service to this string.

I worked ten years at that hospital and was suppose to receive retirement which I was entitled too and was notified that I would receive once I reached 65. When I contacted Human Resources for my retirement the woman informed me that I had no retirement as the Hospital gave me a payout ten years ago which I never received. I asked for proof that this was given to me and she told me that they wanted a copy of my tax return for that year to verify that I did not receive this payout which I did not have as we are only required to keep for 7 years so I could not even get a copy from the IRS. I was an excellent employee for this hospital worked whenever asked which included many hours of overtime and rarely called off in the ten years employed there.
