Thread regarding Lenovo layoffs

Continuation of last week's layoffs

From what I gathered, both China and US were hit last week but only in small numbers, unless I am missing something.

I'm worried that since the numbers were so small, we might be looking at continuation of layoffs sometime this week.

Do we know if last week was it or if we should brace for impact once again?

Jobs were eliminated last week.

From what I can gather and have heard. .. Mostly director and executive directors let go. Us and China. A couple token millennials sprinkled in to offset older workers complaints. PC, DCG and Moto. Have not heard that additional layoffs are happening in Feb. however that would not be surprising as many of the workers left were not given clear direction on what they would be doing or who they would report to. Tough situation. Good luck all.

I think China was totally independent from the US. What I was told is that what we saw in the US last week were not actual layoffs, but rather elimination of whole departments not producing much revenue. I'm still hearing layoffs will come to the US around 3rd week of February.
