CPC has shed 96% of its assets, by location, in a 3 year period. Going through round after round of divestiture and layoffs has been brutal.
I'm not sure what the psychological impact has been on everyone else, but at first I felt a little scared. That turned into motivation when I starting thinking about how we can do things differently, more efficiently, and take on more individual responsibility. Then there was another round. We were told it was over. Then came the latest divestiture, more layoffs, and transition roles. It's as if we've been going through layoffs for 10 months straight now. Not caring about what happens, and having zero expectations for the the future here, has been my way of coping.
I'd like to see the company become great again, but trust is so hard to regain once its lost. I want to talk about employee engagement and team building (mine has completely turned over), but there are some really basic, fundamental issues, that need to be addressed first.
I think that rebuilding trust, having a sense of job security that comes from more than just being the last man (or woman) standing, and getting a sense of personal and corporate direction, that's more than just surviving, would be a good start.
The stocks are doing great, benifits are great, employees are all happy. Stop spreading falsehood on this outside website. We are all brothers and sisters let’s work together like true confederates. Some bad ex-employees are posting here just exactly like fake news everywhere nowadays.
Here, i'll help ya.

here's we go, kids...top 10 list, as requested by OP...
10 - stop already with the fkng professionally-produced propaganda videos in the break rooms (we didn't believe your BS before this tactic, why do you think we'll believe it now?)
9 - fire 9 out of every 10 bureaucrats in the company...we'll get along just fine without them
8 - fire everybody above wellhead+3 (including Uncle Ryan)...immediate, multi-million dollar boost to the bottom line, no discernible impact on daily business
7 - outsource IT en masse to Microsoft (oh wait...I think we've already done that, even though we've kept all the IT folks on the payroll...)
6 - turn EC4 into a homeless shelter and collect the .gov benefits, resulting in another massive increase in profits (plus doing good for the less fortunate)
5 - the next person who proposes a 'cookies and milk employee engagement event should be summarily executed to prevent the risk of further contamination of the gene pool
4 - let's find a way to weigh the anger and frustration of the poor folks who were told they were in assets that were to be sold, sold everything they had, moved their kith -)
take it away, Paul Shaffer and the world's most dangerous band!

rvp, please back away slowly from the Kool-Aid.
It is already great here. All people with negative comments are all ex-employees period. There are no two ways about it, either you like it here and you are employed or you didn’t like it or we didn’t like you or your dillusional. Be a man and accept your guilt and God forgives everything just like our great President.
