Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Bad times

How can WM keep having commercials on how great they are and that they are giving us 1000, for our long term services and making the people think how great they are ,When all reality they keep taken money , vacations. our bonuses away from us . Keep firing people !!!! I sure if you ask some long term associates how to cut fat we could tell you .. Maybe check into a Market HR that doesn't know her job and constantly being mean to WM people . And a market secretary that is salaried that doesn't do much except spy on other associates and gets food and drinks for market office , and pushes her work off on other office people May be corp office needs to look at other things!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I worked for Walmart for 25 years. When I left it was the best thing that ever happened to me. They do not respect anyone. They do not care if you are sick. Very poor management most of the time. The good managers who are fair and caring end up leaving. Best thing I ever did leaving!

I would not say that HEB is like Aldi. It's more like a WAY nicer Walmart. More offerings, items are actually in stock, prettier/cleaner, friendly staff, etc. Some stores even have boutiques and other cool different things inside of them. They're in Texas in cities like Houston and Austin. I wish we had them where I live!

HEB Grocery Company, LP, also known as HEB Grocery Stores, is an American privately held supermarket chain based in San Antonio, Texas, with more than 350 stores throughout the U.S. state of Texas, as well as in northeast Mexico.[2][3] The company also operates Central Market, an upscale organic and fine foods retailer.[4] As of 2013, the company has a total revenue surpassing $20 billion USD (2013).[5] H-E-B ranked No. 15 on Forbes' 2014 list of "America's Largest Private Companies."[6] H-E-B was named Retailer of the Year in 2010 by Progressive Grocer.[7] Supermarket News ranked H-E-B No. 13 in the 2008 "Top 75 North American Food Retailers."[8] Based on 2014 revenues, H-E-B is the twentieth largest retailer in the United States.[9] It donates five percent of pre-tax profits to charity.

The person saying you can get another job. That is true but if you were a CO with 15 years and making say at least 80k. Finding another job making the same while almost 2k other people in this area got fired isnt going to be easy.

It will continue to happen, more and more. What a ou all of the family's in the Bentonville area, are the going to be forced to sell their homes? Probably, because the firm they are using is real top notch,so, you shouldn't have a hard time keeping his you home, cara, kids in school, etc.

I like HEB!!!

They have a true amount of workers there. Everyone is smiling!

Nobody smiles at Walmart they are

some unhappy folks! Probably because the company wants your personal life also. “Customers first Program’s” rotation schedules. That’s a real family oriented company!

Overall Walmart is good, got to cut the negative attitudes out and make sure company is aligned for the future......they can always go get a job at HEB which by the way have their own share of bad attitudes.....no company is exempt from the-structuring!’

Remember that dumb a-- commercial about restaurant quality steaks. I think most everyone knows Wal-mart is a horrible place to work but they do not care. They are always packed. If people actually cared about how Wal-mart treats there employees then they would shop elsewhere. All these people losing there jobs will continue supporting Wal-mart so that makes them just as bad. You ever go into a HEB, workers there are smiling and enjoying there job, we also have more than 4 registers open and we are not forcing customers to use self checkouts. GREED has ruined your company.

Got to love PR!

Media is always wrong about the company facts. It’s because Walmart lies to the media they don’t investigate.
