GE Nuclear site at Wilmington, NC is laying off workers almost every week since mid November. They keep the numbers small enough to stay under the radar screen of local media and not to create employee morale problems as opposed to a mass layoff. What a smart move by the leadership team.

Jay W is like an used car sales person. Lucky, still has a job.
Watched the Jay W. All hands meeting today. What a hug fest. Dome very direct questions asked. And he talked alot, but said nothing. Surprised no one asked about nuclear losing the Entrgy contracts. Just a couple million more that is lost.
Few being notified on [2/7] in Engineering. Hopefully some "do little" type managers.
Met two more people affected in engineering, they are at GE-H till end of next week. Layoffs continue.....
Perry plant is probably next in line unless subsidy is provided by the state. Potentially another blow to GE revenue.
With Exelon announcing early closure of Oyster (no fall refueling outage) that's another few million in revenue the Nuclear business won't see. We can't sell new ones and the old ones just keep dropping off the grid.
1bmc. Geez! Lighten up Francis.
Get a grip ,you sound like a genius.
There are plenty of qualified people left, but GE's real problem is there is no business now or in foreseeable future other than few little odds and end type jobs.
Met couple of people last week who are affected. No idea, how the business will survive if GEH keeps laying off hard working engineers with many years of experience.
