Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Feeling like crap

Anybody else feels like crap, even if they are still employed?

We've lost some of our best people. I don't know what the bases for these layoffs was, but it certainly was not meritocracy. Whoever decided who gets laid off should have gotten cut instead.

It's exhausting just to think that we have more of this coming down the line.

#metoo I'm ready to go. Would love to get a little severance while I look for another job. I spend most of my time looking for a new job anyway. I dream of getting laid off then moon walking out of there doing the Nixon peace sign wave then spin around kick the door open and do the Shawshank Redemption freedom in the rain pose. I can only dream...

Maybe temporary survivors guilt as it could happen later today, next month or even 6 months. I am really getting tire of it. Is the #metoo movement still alive?

Survivor’s trauma is real. Just like someone who survives an accident. Take time to acknowledge it.

I was one. 22 years of hard work, loyaltiy and walked out like I had been obolished and shamed. What does someone do after 22 years of giving everything you had. No warning, no support. Just goodbye. You are no longer needed.
