Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Remember this.

You are the John/Jane Smith organization. You are better than that. You will find a better job or start your own company. Don't look back. Getting a better job and a good life is the best revenge. Bentonville is an ugly town. You can do better (Dallas calling or Salt Lake City?). You are worthwhile.

Never have company loyalty. As long as they pay you they deserve superior work, but Walmart has no loyalty to you, nor does Boeing, Target, IBM, Citibank ad infinitum. Take what you get/can and move on and be sure to rate Walmart on Glassdoor as poor as you can, because while a good life is the best revenge a little(lot of) payback never hurts. Wishing all happiness, success and a decent revenge. Be better.

You have a "right to work" here as long as you accept the crappy pay. And the crappy hours. And the crappy leadership. If you don't we'll find someone else who wants to work for even crappier pay. And so it goes until we're a third world nation until they all have us fighting over what scraps they choose to give us.

At Will? as the person who said 'at will' is a joke? when in the history of at least modern business a person been NOT allowed to quit their job? maybe back in the indentured servant days. The game? the game is slanted totally to the company.. UNIONIZE.

"At will" is such a joke, though. It's not like indentured servitude is still a thing. MAYBE that benefits you if you're the subject of human trafficking, but it's not a good thing for employees. "At will" only benefits the employer, like "right to work."

It's 'at will' employment - WM can fire or hire, we can walk any time we want. That's how the game is played.
