Avaya has done a big time layoff.
I know of a person who hired a useless crap so that he could rate few LRC and protect his inner circle/group.
Pathetic. Deserving guys are not hired and undeserving folks are retained.

Wow, Avaya purchased Spoken Communication for CCaas offering to compete with Amazon Connect. Will this help Avaya to retain the market?

Avaya is busy in doing big big talks with loud voice while other competitors are busy in innovating which would disrupt this industry.

Avaya, if you can't innovate, atleast copy the model of Amazon Connect. By doing this you will have fair chances of survival in the CC business.
Yeah good strategy but they will fail again during implementation as always. The people who are hiring new talent are still old and untrained for the new technology and to accept the change.
It's not the engineers who should be fired but the target should be to clean and change the manager and senior manager layer. This incumbent layer is not capable of leading and providing right guidance to engineers.

WhatsApp for business would be another disruption for Avaya. It will eat up SMB business of Avaya.
This new app will allow small businesses to interact with customers and manage presence on the platform.
Then they might target mid market and large customer.
