Schlumberger destroyed Smith.

You guys really, really just don’t get it do you?
And btw, your Smith ceo and executives walked away with millions of $ as acquisition result. They are probably very happy now.
Why are you looking for loyalty? This makes no sense, we are employees and work, at some point we will be replaced by a younger person or a robot.
I heard in some companies, secretary replaced by google mini.
Tired of hearing this smith sh--.
SLB = CNN
You've been telling the same pathetic story too many times on this board.
Don’t forget MI, Sweco and M&V. Schlumberger destroyed them as well. So, so sad.
Just got one thing to say, we all get old. Some day you’ll be thought of as a has been and all your experience, hard work and loyalty will mean nothing to some young punk. SLB will kick you out right before retirement.
Without Big Blue many of you, yes you, would be on the dole
Via LE SLB!
Going berserk, eh?
Screw slb, screw PK, screw all the low lifes, and pitty all the slaves because they have nothing else to pay bills with...
Smith just couldn't survive on its own, period. This can happen to any company.
"Only thieves, liars, backstabbing thugs, and deceiving tecnically inapt trash moves up in slb. That's why Smith is done. It's the slb culture..."
This applies to all the big service companies not just Slb. When you work for a service company everyone gets f----- at some point. The trick is to f--- them back big time for your own satisfaction.
Just because a company doesn't make massive profits, surely is no indicator of it being a great place to work. Most everybody I've met from Smith were much more technically verse in their work than these brown nosing politicians sib raises and fires when they get too expensive to make enough IBT.

A company files chapter 11 because it's heavily-indebted, in a financial mess and can't generate enough revenue to stay afloat. To say smith were the best in 3 or 4 service lines is bs. If they were they wouldn't be on their knees trying to fend of creditors.
Who makes the best rock bit now? Does anybody know?
Yes, Smith WAS number one. They respected and valued their employees and treated them accordingly. The older employees were respected for their knowledge and loyalty. SLB robbed them of their dignity and then trashed the company they loved.
There’s absolutely no doubt about it. Schlumberger destroyed Smith.
We filed chapter 11 in 1983 ( I believe) am came out of it a much stronger, vibrant company. We “were” the No 1 bit, mud, drilling tools and fishing service company until SLB destroyed us. SLB bought Smith not for our services but to eliminate a competitor. SEC should have never let this happen. I blame Obama and the SLB libs that voted for him!
You recalled wrong.
I'm getting laid off Monday with three Smith employees should be good ...
We kept many legacy Smith people on when other extremely talented SLB people were let go.
By happy with what you have. if Smith was so good Rock and Yardbow would still be at the helm!
It is the dog that wags the tail, not the tail that wags the dog!
⁉️⁉️⁉️⁉️#@&$
As I recall, Smith filed for chapter 11 before Slb bought them so they weren't world beaters by any means.
