For stores that still have the Shoes Lead and Fine Jewelry Lead what has been the trend with those positions. We are seeing that in other areas they will be changed to coordinators but what is the difference from being a lead? Also if they do not want the new title, which we see they have to reapply for, are they offered a package?

The differnece is one of pay. the leads were usually people who have been with the company for a long time and are making pretty good money. Some leads are full time with benefits. The new idea is to cut the leads and replace them with hourly people. The new title means nothing. You will now have someone doing a leads work for minimum wage. The job that used to have 30-40 hours a week scheduled will now have 10-20 hours scheduled
Lead jobs will be eliminated. This means that if you are a lead you cannot just role into the new coordinator position. Your job will be eliminated and if there is an opening at your store then the manager can hire you as a regular associate at minimum wage. IF there is not an opening in your store then you are unemployed.
