Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

For all of you being displaced

If you are displaced, take it from someone who has been displaced that although it is a terrible feeling you will be okay. The first week is the worst - very emotional (mad, sad, feelings of failure, etc), but as time goes on you start to feel better. The key is to apply to 7-10 positions both inside and outside the company per week so that you find something. Trust me, the job market is competitive in Bentonville so be ahead of others. It typically takes 2-3 weeks to get a call back so start applying right away. Take advantage of the outplacement service too.

Hope best for all....

I'm not the OP, just found this advice buried in another thread, just wanted to make it more visible.

I was displaced last week and the pain and trauma the first two days was real. It all came flooding back with today’s announcement but I will tell all of my WM family it will get better with time and trust me when I say you will be surprised by what is out there.
