Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

It's rough, but we will all be fine...

From a former co manager here ... and someone who has gone through layoffs with another company . Best thing that happened was when I quit Walmart ... that being said I’m sorry you are all going through this .

However most likely 60% or so of this is true and the rest of the info people are posting is garbage , guessing or from a friend of a friend of yet another friend. You all need to prepare as if you are leaving regardless of the outcome so you are not surprised. There is nothing you can do to prevent your layoff if you are selected . Get your doctors appointments and medicines all taken care and anything else you need to address if you are out of work for a month or two .

I'm not sure how they plan on keeping talented people with options in the area after this round of layoffs. As if the HO wasn't depressing enough by itself - now add low moral/fear/angst x5. Anyone with legit skills other big firms want would be foolish to not start looking.

The grass is greener. I left in September after seeing the writing on the wall. I did not know my standing with my manager and didn't want to find out the hard way. I am now with one of the Big 3. Got a pay raise out of it.
