I know most of you work at Home office. I have heard rumors of several positions being cut in stores and some departments being dropped all together (jewelry, optical etc. ) My question is when will the stores be effected? Is what is coming this week just starting at HO and stores next other than the Co’s? I’m a 27 year associate and am able to retire. However, if they are going to Eliminate my position and offer me a package I’m thinking about holding on a little bit longer.

Sit back and let it all play out...don’t make any career decisions just yet. 27 years would be worth about 65,000 to you
I would hold on a bit longer. Just my opinion and nothing more. Had a friend retire before one of the big layoffs and then their entire team was cut. This person could have gotten a chunk of money handed to them to retire. It's worth another month of work if you don't mind doing it. Again, just my opinion.
