Does anyone know the total number of employees Macy's plans to eliminate? There are over 1300 jobs across the system posted on Insite.

News media said over 5000 job s which included the stores that are closing in March.
Never understood why they have cut first, then reapply.
There is a reorg meeting today. Wonder what's new now.
