Get used to it..there is no loyalty in the corporate world..the only one who cares about you is you..just sock it away while you can..do your best work always keep looking for better pay..oh and document.document.document all your work and accomplishments at the company..make sure YOU get the credit..tech companies will lose you in a new york minute...good luck..listen to the rumors too..it almost always happens..it did at cavtel..

Ya after the most recent layoff I have updated my resume and actively seeking. I will draw a paycheck until I can get out. Everyone I ask is doing the same. This place is done.
As a front line employee it's hard to care when all managers are concerned with is their company ranking as shown on a report. Reports such as the compliance report generated from ETA show no measurement other than one's ability to watch the clock. It's not a measurement of one's productivity since I've watched the most unproductive techs be rated the highest in the workgroup according to this report. It's not a measurement of the quality of work since techs rated most productive have the most repeat reports. It surely is not a measurement of customer service since we no longer provide customer service to our customers. It's all about closing orders so billing can begin instead of taking care of the loyal customers we once had before the current upper management took office.
Loyalty is a two way street. The employees really don’t care anymore more and are basically holding the job until a new opportunity pops up elsewhere. Moral is horrendous and spreading like a wild fire from department to department. This company has lost its most valuable asset - the dedicated employee. The sad fact is the company doesn’t care and are positioning themselves for a takeover by cleaning up the balance sheet via layoffs.
Most corporate jobs aren't loyal. They expect a 2 week notice if you decide to leave the company, but yet they won't even give you a day's notice before they give you an involuntary separation....smh!!!
Heck they won't even let you collect your OWN things. Best thing to do is keep your stuff with you at ALL times. The moment they call you into a meeting, bring your stuff with you!!
Windstream has yet to send me ALL of my belongings, and it has been 4 months!!
