This is complete hogwash, This was a cost plus reimbursable job. That mean that the client pays until it's finished. And as said above, Reficar signed every PO that was brought in front of them. One of the main issues is that this job was bid when the Colombian peso was at 1700 on the dollar. When we left the project it was over 3000, That means the the everything that was bought and paid in dollars nearly doubled. When this all washes out in the courts the truth will come out.

Reficar has no other choice then to point the finger at CB&I or else they take responsibility of how this job was mis-managed on their end and pay the consequences.

I had heard about there being issues with this project, but never realized cbi went this far!!! Crooks, what an outrage! I do not believe all cbi are aware of what went on- thanks for sharing the articles.

Is this true? I know this is anonymous, but posting false rumors can have legal repercussions. So former CBI executives have been convicted and are potentially subject to extradition? Wow, this is big news. Hope you can back it up and aren't a spammer for the shorts. I'll be sure to read the 10K risk disclosures to confirm this information. I'd love a link to the article.

McD does not know what they bought, a can of worms. I just hope they covered themselves and is willing to clean house. If they don't they will be bankrupt in five years. It is the Lummus way. Shaw might have been a bad acquisition but Lummus is the one who bankrupt CB&I. They bit off more than they could chew with Reficar. They view people as widgets and think you can just go out and hire skilled people when you need them. How did that work for your great business minds? What it didn't!

This is heavily written to favor the Colombian govt. woe is me. We were robbed by the big bad American. Sure the government owned reficar is trying to blame cbi. Fact is reficar signed every PO. They just over ran every budget because of socialism’s effect on the craft workers. This is terrible journalism.

At minimum, McD may understand the how corrupt CB&I is. Asherman needs to report to Colombian Embassy twice a month, according to the news post. Probably it is PM now instead of Asherman.
