Thread regarding Walmart layoffs

Our GM fired a completely useless assistant manager and two more employees who barely did anything this week.

Not sure what's going on, but we've given up hope they'd ever leave and now this. It's the same GM who let their behavior slide for years, so I am curious at what changed?

And the person who got promoted actually earned it. Color me shocked.

Not sure if similar changes are happening in other Walmart stores, but whatever it is, I support it.

Must be nice!

Walmart has lost a lot of talented people over the years. I believe stores like to hang on to people that either don’t work or do bare minimum. It’s wide spread. Maybe, higher managers feel threatened by people that work? Never figured that one out. Seems like they even treat them better.
