Thread regarding University of Phoenix layoffs

Supporting students?

Found out today that the university will no longer offer student workshops on basic skills (writing, math, etc.). These were free workshops to help students brush up on these skills, and they were a great benefit, considering that the university accepts students who lack these skills. The students who took them said they helped. It's a shame they won't have this resource anymore.

They still offer the workshops, but they are moving to On-demand.

And yet Resources Fees are increasing to support library, writing, and math. Really has any money gone into these support services? Take look the answer is no.

So Fraud Inc. just discovered that remedial attention to a student population that for the most part used to be called "not college material" can be an expensive proposition.

With this said it's monkey business as usual, I suppose.

And you wonder why decent folks hate you fu**ers.
