Nobody is safe anymore. I hope The CEO is one of them that gets RIF’d. Directors have gotten the boot today as well. Windstream is tanking. I wish the best for those that get hit today. I have been here 20 years and have never seen anything like this.

Yeah right. Upper management makes out like bandits no matter how sh--ty a job they do.
I would suggest everyone who is still left at the company pack up their personal items so if a future layoff hits ya, you won't have to worry about that. We started doing that around here.

I was laid off on a Thursday as well. They wouldn't even let me take my stuff. Someone stole my soda money in my desk. How low is that?
It's around 400 people not 1000.

Yes, this is big - it's bigger than other layoffs we had before - I do not have numbers and I do not believe it's 1000 people as someone reported - I think that the Corp Communication group needs to step up and tell it how it is - instead of having people guess about what's going on - I am not sure why we are hiding the fact that people are losing jobs
the official date is 2/1 but it is happening sporadically today (1/18).
