GE could break itself apart as cash crisis deepens

Article on CNN now: http://money.cnn.com/2018/01/16/investing/ge-breakup-stock/index.html

Looks like GE may be no more?

And worth less than the sum of the parts...sad day for GE.

All GE employees still at GE looking for jobs outside GE...flood of the market coming.

How much cash is GE really short in 2017? Billions?

Management is already setting up contracts with outsourcing firms to replace us.

Specifically with folks from India as they have an overflow of young people and work for less cost. They just have places like TATA do all the H1B visa filings so GE management can claim their pro US job stance.

Already had two of them guys tell me they are watching my team so they can do our jobs in 3 month.

Excellent work environment...

it will be easier to lay-off employees when the 3 businesses are spun-off. smaller businesses...easier to cut them into even smaller pieces, divesting here and there. But then, again, what does bring to an healthcare employee the fact she is part of the same company of Power? Nobody below Officer level can move from one business to the other. Stuck forever in the same business, team, role. Taylorism 3.0.

Can't say this is unexpected with Trian invested and having a board of directors seat. That's kinda what they do. https://seekingalpha.com/news/3323205-trian-behind-push-breakup-ge
