Who thinks McDermott will ditch CB&I employees?

Its better to be thought a dumb--s than open your mouth and remove all doubt. You wont hear anything from cb&i till dust settles around this merger.
Every organization at every level has its share of slackers. However the majority of employees are dedicated hard workers who produce results that make money for the Company. When an organization like CB&I fails, it is due to bad leadership and bad leadership decisions. Forget about the notion of a couple of bad projects...failure is failure. When the value of a Companies stock craters, it isn't due to employee performance. Companies fail because of bad leadership and the failure of leadership to enable employees to be successful. The same people who are accountable to the failure of CB&I are now part of planning and integration teams. If you think for a moment they are there for the good of the employee who produces the results you are wrong. Despite what might be seen on the surface, they are positioning for a role in the future organization.
Here's the breakdown of communication from PM. I'm proud of our safety record (we only lost 6 people). Don't say anything to the public, only I have that authority and I won't be here in a a few years. I'll continue to provide you all with more and more communications.
Be safe! WTF
Not true. Someone has decided to empty out pretty much all of fab services, and shudder facilities with not one single hint of an honest explanation. Hundreds, if not thousands have already been let go. I saw my plant go feom almost 400 to 15.
Unless the company being bought has a stellar department (something that brings value), which CB&I doesn't, then the company doing the buying will clean house. CB&I has failed due to poor management and work practices. The guys at the top made money but the workers have to pay the price for sitting on their haunches and not speaking up.
I don’t really agree with that statement. When Exxon Mobil merged. A lot of Mobil people got the axe.
Companies that buy other companies don’t get rid of the work force. They get rid of the management at the very top levels. Workers are safe as kind as there is work for them to be doing.
