When the bad news about the dividend broke, JA set up meetings on each floors break room. He kept saying that "we" had to each admit that we made mistakes and that GE's problems are on "us."

Sorry, but I'm not the board or the execs who have made bad choice after bad choice. I didn't choose to do stock buybacks when the price was high, and I didn't choose to send two planes out with I-melt, and I didn't choose to relocate headquarters so that my wife can run her Edible Arrangements business. Heck, I can't even choose which template to use in my slides to my manager (got a "consider" once about not using the "right" GE templates).

So no, JA. This isn't on me. I'm just a peon that sits at my 2x2 desk everyday who can never get a meeting with my manager because he's always too busy, so I keep refreshing the traffic page to see how long my commute home will be. But at least I get to wear a wacky Hawaiian shirt on summer Fridays, so it's not all bad.

JA has a lap dog on each floor. He want's to make sure that each time he gets off the elevator there is one wagging his tail for him!!

Clueless management practices, poor culture, no leadership... Kinda hard to be connected to the workforce when some executives never have to worry about providing for their families ever again due to their pay and incentives received.

The Global Ops management team is as clueless as they come. Aviation forced a lot of people downtown, and most of those people live north of the city by Evendale. Of course, the commute downtown is adding tons of time to their day.

One such person was complaining one day about trying to make it home to pick up the kid from daycare. JA was strolling through with TD (his lap dog), overheard it, and ended up giving a 20 minute speech about how employees should embrace downtown and move there.

Ya, I'll just go ahead and trade my $1000 a month mortgage for a three bedroom house with a nice yard for a $2000 a month rent in that ugly a** building attached to the Global Ops. Oh wait, I can't afford that rent because GE gave me a whopping 2% raise last year and my health insurance rates have gone way up.

After this is all said and done the building is going to be called Global Ops Center, A GE Company. It will fail just like Baker Hughes, A GE Company.

I'm not saying I doubt you, but 40% reduction? Is that across the entire Global Ops landscape or just Cincinnati? The Cincinnati building already has two floors that aren't built out yet. If they cut out 40%, then GE will only need two or three floors. Would they lease out the other floors? What about the tax incentives they got from the city?

I work at Global Ops. The morale is lower than anything I've ever seen before. And the open office workspace is a joke. It's supposed to be collaborative but everyone just wears their earbuds while actively searching for new jobs.

Global Ops is already targeted for a 40% reduction. Bottom line ... GE Leadership does not know what to do. Get out while you can
