Thread regarding Mattel Inc. layoffs

Any news on if we are going to see merits or bonuses?

Seeing how horrible the company is doing at this point I'm sure we won't, but wasn't sure if anyone had any info. Im guessing everyone's will be taken away so we can give it to RD to make sure he's satisfied.

And as March came, at the monthly millennial meeting; they looked at each other with sadness and disbelief at their empty bonus stockings. “But we all got trophies just for being there...aren’t bonuses the same “?

A typical millennial pipe dream. Waiting for their bonus for just showing up. VPs and above will be getting bonuses and told to not show that large white envelope. Which by the way they’re doing away with because it’s so painfully obvious.

AND they’ll do one more round of cuts before the bonus is dispensed.

There will be bonuses, but how much you get totally depends on your rank at the company. The higher up you are, the higher your bonus. Note that ranking and bonus amounts are not proportionate. In other words, if you're low on the totem pole, expect next to nothing. If you're higher up, expect considerably more, and if you're at the top, you can of course expect a bonus equal to or multiple times higher than an entire year's salary of your lower-level cohorts.
