Sam’s Club closing several locations

Wal-Mart gives out pay raises and bonuses then does the unthinkable...close at least 60 Sam’s Clubs without warning.

All you people are just whiners and snowflakes. So now if a company gives bonuses and raises you complain? Who cares if the bonuses only go to the people who have invested their time, effort and lives for over 20 years? And if you're making more than $11 per hour then good for you. But when many states are still at the federal mimimum of $7.25 (I think) then $11 is a pretty good pay raise.

My aunt had worked for Walmart for over 20 years. She only has a HS diploma and makes way more than $11 and with her retirement and stock options she has bought and been given over the years she can retire in her 50's as a millionaire. How's SHC or your other jobs treating you

Walmart has high turnover even with higher pay. Don't be fooled I know people who say it isn't all its cracked up to be.

Yeah well, apparently the bonuses only go to employees who've been at Walmart for 20+ years

So basically .01% of their employees. A lot of positive press for them, but in reality it's just BS

Converting to distribution centers is laughable - the robots will be hanging around the electronic repair center versus the proverbial "water cooler" shooting the breeze 😍

The handful of Sams being closed is laughable. Pretty normal, some of these are also being converted to shipping warehouse's for their growing internet business (thats what they did with some properties they closed over a year ago -- though those were Walmart stores not Sam's.

Good for Walmart. They understand that you make the hard decisons while the times are good, not wait until you have to make cuts to save the business. Give raises to those loyal employees and give bonuses to those who have invested their lives.

Treat workers like humans and a valuable asset--what a concept.

Those who are going to lose their jobs, I'm sorry, but that is also business
