CFO is being forced out now. If one is really retiring (in their 50s) why mention that we should wish him the best as he moves on to a new chapter in his professional career?

@Rb0olRs-7cwv: This is standard practice at these levels, where the contract has a clause to payout even if the exec is laid off due to incompetence or other valid reasons. Not fair to rest of the organization or folks who tirelessly toil every day... every SVP or EVP is Sabre has this in their contract.
Current CFO is going to be on the payroll until the end of the year a la DK.
This is the perk that incompetent Sabre execs get while other employees are booted out on the pretext of performance with no severance
To put into context, DK was totally over her head and messed up Sabre to the extent that a recovery in IT is impossible at this time. Gets rewarded with a consultant position on top of the millions of dollars of stock options.
How about Ben Vinod and his phony research team: Ben, Ross, Richard, Bob has been with Sabre 30-40 years. How much are they paid, what are their contributions? Close to nothing, they enjoy their daily 2 hour lunch breaks-they go to the gym everyday and enjoy doing nothing. What a waste.
Maybe he just wanted a break until the government figures out all these crazy tax changes.
Isn’t this the 2nd CFO ? The one who lead us thru IPO also had left ?
It's not chief financial officer...it is chief f---ing officer...who laid off many folks since Nov 2016 and encashed their stocks onto his account...
He has cashed in millions in stock options. Perhaps he has something much rich folks never get--enough. Wouldn't read too much into his departure.
