Director+ levels demotion a solution the problem ?

Part of the problem the company is so bloated is perhaps/probably due to random promotions to friends and families and non contributors after certain level. wont QC be back to normal track, If folks starting Directors ( or equivalent ) and above are demoted by 2 levels and 30% clean up at those levels along with 10% pay cut below director levels and 5% cleanup below director level. This would also mean, we produce more contributors, remove non contributors and still keep the company going ?

Get external 3 party to review and keep just the top of the cream guys at the top who can drive and provide vision, motivation to the company.

Given that investors haven spoken ( based on the vote counts thus far). Its time to start cleanup top down. They should release the numbers honestly and who is cut from the top just to it will give a sense to the investor community of what kind of savings and clean up is occurring for a better future of the company.

Remove all, good and bad. All are guilty till proved otherwise. Re-Inverview all ( if they are interested) and if they are good fit hire at appropriate title which will be below their current ones. Also, reduce the number of titles. Qualcomm needs to give some respect to the titles.

As they request proxy vote, they create a survey to the stock holder and based on the survey results, company acts. 3rd part publishes the results and asks from the shareholders. This will make Executives and BOD accountable. Currently, no clue what these guys do.

One of the brilliant idea I heard was to ask each emloyee (not just dir and above) to put their own compensation package regardless their title. Their team will rank each other each year to determine their perceived value and contribution matches or above their ask. If they asked more than their voted values, then they are fired after three consecutive reviews. Fair ?

Cut the following titles...Useless entitlements

Principal

Sr Director

VP Technology

EVP

Directors needs over 200 reports

VP needs over 1000 reports

Get rid of all directors and above without direct responsibility (DRI) on top line or bottom line work.

Guarantee the operating margin will spike by 10% in less than a year.

NJRC has <300 employees, but has about 20 directors. It has SS and PE that just modify Makefiles and make the process more complicated.

Agree, JANA and others pushed for this. Want there a 3rd auditor gave bunch of recommendations in 2015. Did they implement those other than the 2015 layoffs ? If not, SM and PJ need to be held accountable seriously. If I recall, these guys swindled millions last year together, right ?

Octane is needed just for this purpose and keep Qualcomm going. "Make Qualcomm great again" will be his saga!

As a Company it will still flourish but without under performers as as these and under a different umbrella.

Decent idea. This clean up will hurt some short term but good for all in general. Look, guys above directors are not doing anything anyways, Axing them is a good solution without taking the hit as a company and revive the glorious days again.

Might really contribute to the bottomline, but how much is the question, may not meet the goal. This will send a message to the employees not to slack [ no more resting and vesting ] and investors that we are serious about the change.
