Just think back to your school days and ask who were the best students. Ask your kids who are the best students. Then you'll understand why the Chinese are ahead. And Trump wants them to stay in China.
For the sake of argument, if Qualcomm says that they will bring back all the work to US from abroad. What will be the impact to the earnings ? $1 per share for investors at best ?

What is the reason for calling this a Chinese company. This is not, check out the companies they acquired in the past. Why didn't they (congress) have this security concern then. This is a Qualcomm propaganda as simple as that mi amigo!
Qualcomm have huge presence in China , Singapore and other parts of the globe. No security concern ?
China is not far ahead of the US, not even close.
China copies the US and Russia as best they can, and throws huge pile of cash and numbers of people in these fields, but they are still well behind and have nothing that is original.
China's talent is in mimicry, not innovation.

China is far ahead of the U.S. technologically. They are ahead in AI, ML, and quantum computing. The belief that China is ahead technologically to the U.S. because they stole IP is a way for Americans to feel better about themselves.
China can only follow, it can catch up by IP theft, but it can't innovate.
