Thread regarding Golden State Foods layoffs

Stay away if Carol Fawcett is still the CIO

IT Department is very insecure since Carol Fawcett has come on board. She is a forme Dell employee who is thrown out by Dell because of idiotic decisions. Since then, she has started throwing out 7 or more (till now) employees to fill them up with her own people. Not a stable place to work till she's gone.

Carol is a poor leader. Does not have IT acumen or people leadership skills. She has been fired multiple times in her career. She simply does not know how to get the best out of her people.

Wow! How how tough everyone acts behind the wall of anonymity. I worked in Carol's org at GSF for 2 years or so. Carol is one of the best leaders I have ever had the pleasure of working for. She is extremely knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, has good values and promotes a fun work environment. I genuinely looked forward to coming to work every day. If you are posting negative comments on this board then it's likely because you blew the multiple chances you were given to succeed and didn't make it through your PIP, so are coming here to vent instead of changing your behavior and / or work ethic. There are bad leaders out there for sure. Carol's predecessor was one of them. But if you hold a grudge against Carol then you have some internal reflections to make on your life's decisions that led up to this point in time where you are making cowardly negative anonymous comments on a chat board about a truly stand-out leader.

This website is named the lay-off.com... hence everyone posting negative attributes have been layed off. Seems like a reliable source. Lol

Everyone that has posted negative things about carol Fawcett are just upset they got fired... do your job well and maybe you wouldn’t get fired. Pretty simple.

I stumbled upon this post. How accurate. The one's positive were written by folks encouraged by her supposed kind and soft side. Carol is a very cunning but insecure person. The leader you don't want to have in your organization. GSF leaders are being completely misguided by her and her coterie of new hires. She is a liar too. And is always manipulating. NON STOP. Both upwards and downwards. She hired back almost the same number of people she had let go. She only keeps folks that are always flattering her and s—ing up to her. Yes - absolutely stay away from this disastrous TOXIC workplace led by CAROL FAWCETT.

Carol Fawcett is two faced. She manages upwards so well that they think no end of her. On the opposite side she manages her team with fear, lies, manipulation and does not trust most of them, except for a select few. One of these days she will be exposed and GSF leaders will know her true colors, by which time it will be too late...

Had the pleasure of working with Ms. Fawcett for several months as an intern at GSF. She is both technically skilled and incredibly powerful as a leader. One of the warmest and most selfless supervisors I've ever worked with. This post is simply not accurate.

Ex-GSF here and thinking of going back, I worked closely with IT for awhile and things got way better after she came on board. BTW, You’re right the missing R doesn’t mean anything except that you are sloppy.

Oh so is that all you could find to attack the underlying fact ? A missing "r" from "former" makes the point entirely VOID and therefore Carol totally FIT for the office ? Why Dell didn't keep her in the era of

scarcity of " is the best" CIOs then ? and then why shifting from TECH industry to a food industry

If you're truly fit to be a CIO in IT/TECH ?

If you are going to post something learn how to spell check, no wonder...Maybe we all should consider this source before judging. Carol Fawcett is the best CIO that has come to IT.
