Thread regarding Qualcomm Inc. layoffs

Is it true severance is being lowered?

Can anybody confirm that severance is being lowered for non-management? Is that even legal, if true?

Likely , why do think they have delayed his news for so long, perhaps this is the top reason.

Still not known. Any information "leaking" is speculation or BS. Although the preliminary lists are essentially done, we don't yet even know the extent of the lay-off. Nothing will be finalized until after the vote. Right now, all we know is that there will be a lay-off. Anyone who thinks they're on the hit list should be hoping the vote goes blue. That's where you'll get the nuclear severance package (CIC) intended to be a thorn in AVGO's side in case they succeed. Otherwise, I "suspect" (not know) that it'll remain what it was in 2015. Four or eight weeks (depending on title) plus two weeks per year. Insurance until end of month.

Leaked this AM in our group. Part of the SM $1billion is 'anticipated optimizations of severance'. Be happy, its more 'optimal'.

Your newly optimized severance will be on cheap office depot paper with a nice new font and logo.
