Principal engineers are senior engineers but with no work and utterly useless
wow... How do we get that job....sounds very cool.
How many of this title are in there and is it easy to get it ? Are they productive ?
Principals are Senior Engineers who stayed 15+ years with the company and now acting as consultants with no demonstrable output and 3X more comp.
What is a principal ? Are they above Directors ? where do they stack up and what do they do ?
How about all Principals? These scientists also don’t have any report neither technical background......
Good idea. Every year they should have a revered review process. Can someone start the process to kick start this.
Can Engineers do performance evaluations for directors this time please. Also, directors do the same for VP's.
Engineering Directors with less than 100 reports ? What on earth are they 'directing' ???
