BCOM layoffs will be approximately 30%, and that's if. Even if that's the case will be a 2 year process and not an overnight action. I can see a new culture, new projects, but not a massive layoff. 2 years is plenty of time for people to figure out if they are provided job security.

cool story bro
WFH means less need for office space.
Fewer meetings is a good thing.
Why?! Do you think that it's that easy to be let go thousands of skilled workers ?Or just keep the most and get them used to the new ways? Octane won't bring a whole new crew, just get the existing ones get used to it's new ways.Take it or leave it type of thing.
Octane aint a man to wait 2 years; he's 'frugal' and dont care about about employer of the year. Big stuff will take a few months and the small stuff wont be sweated, just cut :
HR/IT/other admin $250 per head
Free charging for those $$Tesla ? : install pay-chargers
Shuttles ? Walk or Uber
Cafes, organic local produce - joke right ? Costco Ramen
Corridors and private offices everywhere. SD real estate expensive; ditch the offices and put cubicles in corridors and big common tables for team work
Big break rooms leads to too many big breaks.
Ship those dam labs offshore; 1000s sq ft of labs that are way way underused.
Meetings !!!! Cut cut cut.
WFH??? No more.
