D--k's only intention by ending the sale of AR style rifles was increased revenue. Their sales are in the tank, so a feel good inconsequential announcement about gun control and social responsibility will appeal to the urban soccer moms, bicyclists, golfers, and dog walkers who only leave their sub-division to go skiing or to a soccer tournament. These folks will buy into the marketing myth that D--k's cares more about our children than those other cold blooded barbarians that go hunting or own a firearm. For D--k's It's marketing, plain and simple. It's not about gun control. IMO, shame on d---s, Delta, United, Enterprise, and every other company that is jumping on the bandwagon for free publicity.
The more we bicker amongst ourselves the more the Putins of the world win! Go back to school and relearn civics and see what it takes to repeal an amendment to the constitution! The NRA is a massive lobbying group bent on spreading discourse between those who own guns and those who don't! They've been doing this effectively since the "W" administration! Sadly enough the banning of assault weaponry will not end the problem. It may temporarily slow the situation down, the ultimate solution in my opinion is the re-establishment of the family unit. Raising our children instead of turning on the 48 inch babysitter so to speak.
We live in a society the glorifies the 'hero' who manages to KILL all those who oppose Him or her and not even mess up their hair.

They have been losing money and closing stores for years and I would be willing to bet that the number of ARs they have sold in the past year is less than what we sell in a month, or even a few weeks.
