So, we have town hall here shortly. I wonder what they are going to tell us. This is the first time in the past 5 years at least that they don’t release AIP or merit raises guidance before town hall. Companies are hiring, people will jump ship if they don’t fix the moral soon.

Keep drinking the Koolade . I laugh at you people. APC was great and gave a nice package to me after 25 years. But they serve rly screwed them selves with what was left. I have a better job now and more pay competing against what APC left there so so easy to beat you all. Left
I love papa Al, daddy Mitch, cronies and the BG mafia!
Hell, I was also released from service two years ago! Yep, I remember that day, March 10. It was a Thursday morning as I sat in the Granite Tower. The goons walked in, sat down, gave me the blue folder, and proceeded to give me the canned speech. Several good things happened because of that occurrence (1) Two months off gave me tons of skateboarding and climbing time (2) I was given a healthy severance package (3) I no longer worked for APC, which, at the time s---ed. Now, as I peruse these forums and notice the doom and gloom looks from past APC 'friends' on 18th street, I realize that APC did me a favor. The company severed me completely from their hell and released me into a much better and happier life.

The stock price will follow the oil and i don't see a competitive edge to outpace the rest. Eventhough we were shown some deviation 36% from sector average. I believe that it was accurate but not sure that it is sustainable because that would require consistency and track record over extended period.
Either way appropriate as employee to unload and diversify no matter predictions. My aim is to cash annually as tax liability drops and as price bounces even a little.
I was sent packing in the first round some two years ago now. to be fair APC gave me all my stock when they let me go (better to go sooner?) Here's the thing, I kept the stock and have been waiting - hoping - that it would come back. I would sell it all if it would hit $70.00 and be grateful. So with a town hall coming up, what is this very large fraternity's prognostication on stock movement?
BTW, was very sad when let go but having been reading these posts over the last year I'm glad to gone. I really believed in the core values, foolish me!

So, how did it go?
You’re not going anywhere you big dummy. This company has you, me and everybody else who stuck around in the last two (very crappy) years since the layoff, by the balls. Whether we hang our hats on the 401K match, the generous PTO, or the fact that you don’t have to try too hard to scrape by without getting fired, we’re here for good. So sit down, smile and nod your head in agreement today as Al tells us all for the umpteenth time what a fantastic company this is and how APC couldn’t be this great without us lemmings.
If you continue to work for APC and realize the error and distress the company is in, then, it's your own fault for staying there. You have no one to blame but yourselves for believing in APC and it's future. Yet here you are complaining on a public forum, yet, again, you continue to work there. Why?
