I really don’t understand how SF after years of dedicated service cut these jobs as coldly as they did. I worked for over 20 years with some of these managers and I was shocked by some of the ones they displaced and kept the ones who actually needed to go. I am glad I left company a year ago. I personally worked with claims and section managers in Atlanta, DAllas and Phx. Some of the most dedicated were given a phone call at home saying not selected. Couldn’t even look them in the eye. Disgraceful. To those wonderful Section and claims managers I say thank you, good luck and you deserved better. You all will be great at other companies. SF loss and many other companies gain.

About to leave the company. Stayed though the first mass exit but can’t stand it anymore and harbor serious resentment. Busted my a-s to get designations and prove my worth to find out I didn’t have the right Bloomington connections to ever be given a chance. It’s a good ole boy network that keeps the power hold tight. They have also turned working claims into a nightmare and we offer awful customer service. While other roles at the company sit back, complete nothing productive and pat each other on the back for a job well done. Without their large net worth built on previous success they would be a company on the decline. If I was a customer I’d shop around and if your an incoming employee I would reconsider.
Left State Farm after 20+ years in October of 2016. This company no longer cares about customer or employees. It was once a company that was a family now it’s s company that cares less if you have a family. The grass is greener!!! Get out while you can!!
I can only imagine getting call at home. It’s going cost them nobody will go to work for State Farm. We were always the best in the business. What happen. I have a new agent and he looks really stress, my previous agent was great he took care of my whole family now they want to leave SF.
The company is going downhill and they need to hold someone accountable. They made these selection based on results of the people’s operations. Unfortunately, those getting results are typically getting the results in the wrong way by threats and rewarding the wrong behaviors. This company is no longer about the customer, but about hitting a number no matter what the cost. All leaders who have been here for some time know this new process is not working but none of them can express this for fear of losing their job. It no longer is about the employee and definitely no longer about the customer.
Now the proximity investigators assigned to the Special Investigation Unit has been cut by 50%.
Imagine a fraud center of Illinois going from 27 statewide down to 13 and only 1 outside of Chicago.
Exactly. To have a successful business you must first take care of your employees. I don't think SF will ever recover in the insurance business from this.
My manager will leave, and take his claim knowledge and leadership skills with him. I’ve been in claims 20 plus years and he’s the best leader I’ve ever been around at State Farm. A lost art. I’m sure there are lots or other good managers leaving, but this one will be missed.
They fail to see that their poor market performance is a direct result of their disregard to their employees. When your staff feels like the company doesn't care they don't care about the company or its customers. They will learn when they fall from #1 to #10
