Credit went today. They offered us a new position. Thanks, Lowe’s. 8 years of dedication and you just screwed me as well as the other who take on my workload with no pay increase.
Any more info on yesterday's layoffs? Has anything else been hit? And do we know if it is done, or will it continue?
Telephone operator!? Haven't seen one of them in about eighteen years. You mean to tell me that there are some stores out there in Lowe's land that have one?
Find another job, please, outlook is not good for lowes.
Soon will be pricing. That will pass on the job to the departments.
So the under appreciated credit coordinators get to be chained to the internet cage and be poisoned by the fertilizer! No freedom, we never got respect anyway, but it feels like a slap.
Does anyone know if they are flat out just laying off phone operators or moving them to another position? I know a phone operator but they haven't been given pink slip yet...

I don't like to see any valuable associate lose their job..there ARE worse place's to work than Lowe's.
They didn't do anything important anyway
They offered another position so it's not a lay off. M-F set hours too.
We have neither at my store.
Credit is handled by the front end ASM who delegates it to the front end SSM who delegates to a head cashier who delegates it to a cashier at the end of the night.
Phone operator is just another job that the ladies on customer service take care of with no increase in pay.
