Another windstream scare tactic. The severance is a simple vague document that says nothing, then weeks later they get specific to try and scare you. If windstream drops customers or the contract is up, there's nothing they can do. A non compete is only valid if there is a monitary value associated with it during employment. If they try and throw one on you at the end, its as useless as the paper its written on. So save that management bullsh1t for another s---er. Windstream deserves everything coming their way. Customers hate them, ex employees hate them and even current employees hate them.

No worries. When you are hired by another company, you are part of that company. Whether that company chooses to use Windstream as a vendor or not is outside the scope of the severance package. In fact, the terms of the severance package have to be very specific or they are unenforceable. Besides, not EVERY ex employee signed a severance package.

I seriously doubt that Windstream wants to risk class action lawsuits if they try to play games with the right-to-work laws.

We signed severance packages if you read them you realize you open yourself up to litigation if you pull customers/employees away from WS within a year period or something after layoff. Giving proof jeopardizes your anonymity.

The only problem, not saying it isn’t true, is you're not offering any proof.

Yup. $65K a month in lost opportunity here. We went with a different carrier too. Multiple ex employees made sure of it. And we were able to get the circuits turned up in a few weeks instead of a year.
