So, State Farm is abandoning the parts of my state where people farm...hmmm, what would Mecherle say? Top half of my team got the call this week, no more boots on the ground over where you live. TM was in tears. Who stays? Bottom half of the team-they all made the cut because of their zip code. Allstate I still see the survivors of their cuts out handling those difficult claims. Meanwhile, the nation's largest insurer will soon have another area where the closest claims employee is 3 hours away.
State Farm ALWAYS has a plan! Not the smartest plan, but a plan. For instance, like getting rid of long time employees that want a job and have given State Farm a large chunk of their life! Then they hire independents... Where did The Good Neighbor Company go???
I am so sorry to hear what is going on in claims. These layoffs keep coming in waves. It is a very sad period for a struggling company.
There are 3000 team managers, claim reps, reinspectors and trainers affected by the restructuring. In the end, there will be 1650 claim reps and 206 team manager left in the proximity role going forward. There will be 138 positions that need to be filled in places where they need more people and then reductions where there is too many. They are also posting jobs in the deployed role, 92 claim reps and 7 team managers. The QTD date is expected to be July 31st, if the plan is approved.
By field team managers do you mean proximity Tms or those in non hub operations centers.
Location location location = job
Performance performance performance might equal getting a job
Shame how many good experience employees we are losing... crying shame!!!
Bloodbath. No bueno.
cutting field team managers and employees by 3000, end date is July 31
Anyone have info following management call at 11?
Anyone know Which meeting is the good meeting? There are meetings with the VP and meetings without?
Great! A call to tell me what I already knew. I'm sure we'll come away with more questions than answers.
word on the street in Merna is that if you got an invite to the call, you're in an area that will see reductions in staff and you may be considered an impacted employee in the near future. Affected managers received a separate e-mail concerning their potential status as impacted.
If it is anything like the other meetings they have had they will tell you about a reduction in staffing, the decisions have already been made and you will be notified if you have a job or not.
Odd thing is - not all proximity reps. received the invite. Only a select portion and their manager. Any thoughts on this method?
It's a Thursday. The executives like dropping bombs on Thursday. Wear a helmet.
Correction... meetings are 2/22/18.
