Displaced CO's

Displaced CO's, how many of you have found Assistant Manager positions and are any of you still waiting to get picked up?

My family chose to take the severance also. After 19 years of our life surrounding Walmart. I also worked my way up from an hourly associate. We did not deserve this. There is no way I would even consider applying for an assistant manager position. I am enjoying my 60 days with my family. All of us COs missed out on a lot at home. I am looking forward to my much deserved severance. Maybe some shopping on amazon....

I know a displaced co who closely resembles the last commentor. He is very religious, doesn't preach about it but makes it very known, and his peers were a pretty secular bunch. Can't help but wonder if that factored into his being cut

Displaced Co here .. I’m sitting my 60 out. I did not opt in. I knew what would happen. I went in with my eyes wide open. I started as a seasonal cashier and worked my way up through the ranks 14 years every step. I have been in every department and promoted even received merit raises.. when they were available .. I ran every area but when you don’t belong to the click or the good ol boys club .. sometimes it’s easier to walk away with your head held high ... I know for me it’s the right choice. It doesn’t make the way the company made the decisions right because my Evals and were always above standard and I was in the top box to promote .. but as they say it does come down to who you know and I never had a drink with my boss as my brothers did ...

To the last responder: it looks like WM has factored that reaction into the formula as well.

A lot of people who were die hard WM enthusiasts are now waking up to how slimy that company really is.

Two stores in my town that lost 2 cos each. Here's how it broke down:

In store #1, one was a gal I didn't know, so I don''t know if she was offered the AM. The other was a lazy, narcissistic sack of sh-- who did literally nothing but scroll his phone and chase pu--y.. I heard he refused to apply for the AM. So good riddance. :)

In store #2, one was a lady I knew for many years and thoroughly liked and respected. As she is also a minority, I can only guess as to why she got cut--she was nice. She actually cared for her employees. So it's a real loss that she's gone. Dunno if she was offered a AM. ..... The other co in that store was a sadistic, fake-smiling hater who took great pleasure in targeting people he didn't like, then systematically getting rid of them He's creepy as a bug under a rock. He was not even invited to apply for the AM.

That they clipped him actually caused me to believe, for the first time in my life, that karma actually happens, and I take great delight in knowing this same cosmic justice play has been happening all across the country.

Same phone call here for my SO. However, they've were looking while the process played out and landed a good position with another big box retailer.

Same here for a call that wasn’t good enough to be an assistant.
