Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

How long before next round?

Who wants to bet we'll be hearing about more potential layoffs within a month?

Things at PepsiCo have now started to move in a certain direction, and I don't see they'll be stopping any time soon.

Layoffs will continue for as long as there is anybody left who is making more than the entry level guy.

Their announcement about this cut being just management was a lie. In my position there were 46 of us nationwide. They cut more than half of us and we're just in administrative roles. Entire teams are gone. And the BS about "helping them through the transition" was nothing more than kicking them out the door. I'm already prepping my resume because those of us left in my position can see the writing on the wall. Outsourcing and automation will kill our jobs before much longer.

The next expected round of layoffs will be in 180 days.

If NAB keeps tanking, then more layoffs to come.

Can you expand on the getting rid of the operations team at Frito Lay? Are they targeting GES or DC's?

SOPS to be glutted (eliminated in FLNA at least) this has begun with a FM standardization model/testing. Integrated Facility Management to be the outsourcing for sales operations. Site specific data collection and testing/piloting to begin Feb 2018. Expect this to roll by YE 2018, beginning of 2019. :(

If you survived this round, please start updating your resume/CV, even if you are a lifer. It's easier to find another job if you already have a job. Be prepared before the next round hits because this is the new normal.
