I have not heard a peep about Team Member Appreciation Week for 2018. Have you?

Mr. No here again. Previously I had made a critical post about the TMAW and working in general. It seems no matter where I work there is plenty to be disappointed about and WF is no exception, but, I will be the first to say something positive as well... and that is, I did get a pretty alright gainsharing contribution this payday, $89, but still better than food poisoning I'd say. Work is a form of enslavement and that's that. When the company you work for needs your help, and you do help them, yet it still feels like punishment, then that's enough to make you want to burn the place down, but we must remember that no one is really in charge, these supposed leaders are faliable, incompetent and often immature, aggrandized children. Even if they have had challenging life experiences, they seem to interpret them as just part of life, life's little hurdles, freak accidents and the like, instead of lessons, importunate meaningful revelations about themselves and those around them. Until they begin to recognize challenges for what they are, they will never learn from them. We have to look out for ourselves and do as much as we can everyday in order to feel as if our time and our lives are worth living. This means being more than your job and taking on more responsibility both inside and outside of work (mostly outside) so when you come to your idiotic job, you can feel superior to your so-called superiors and get away with a lot more questionable behaviours, because we know we're better than they think we are.
TMAW has s---ed the past few years anyway I’m assuming this will be the worst one yet.
I don't appreciate my job, its slavery and demeaning and not worth it at all. I only do it because I don't want to disappoint others. Whole foods is the worst job I've ever had and like all the other jobs it keeps getting worse and worse and... it's embarassing and in that way, very funny and enjoyable in a dark ironic way, which is why I still keep going, just to see them suffer. I hate them.
It’s usually in the week of April 21st.
Wow.. Put the kool aid down bro.
Yes its February and a smidge too early but it is a good time to start thinking about it. Infact that is how I found this thread, by googling when WFM TM appreciation week 2018 will be. Why? Because its something I look forward to. And it helps boost moral. Which we need. And I like companies that give a sh--.
I then read the other posts and disagree and agree with some. But stop for a minute and think about this:
Be grateful you have a job and one that is in a good company. You could be in another country making 3cents an hour working 80 hours a week. There are actually people out there who would love your job at Whole Foods Market! And we have good benefits. Some companies don't even offer benefits, let alone a 20% discount on groceries! There is good with bad, take it or leave it. 401K, Ill take it.
Or offer Dental and exceptionally vision plan? Where else are you going to get treated better?
Yes, Ive had some sh--tie years where i wanted to quit so bad, especially after more than a decade with WFM. Is it realllly all that bad? its a job after all. A pretty darn good one.
You mean the event that happens in May? It’s February. Lighten up.
I love this. The comedy writes itself...
Dear Team Members,
And our Global Team is working to ensure that this never happens again.
Sincerely ,

Dear Team Members,
I realize that we've put too much emphasize on team member happiness in the past. As we enter an exciting new beginning , lets all focus on the positive. We all love you.
In the interest of better direction of resources, I know you will agree with me that this annual tradition will serve us better as a past tradition. Take comfort in knowing that we are using these resources to create a much more productiive environment for our team members. We all love you.
Sincerely ,
JM
