My boss keeps on telling me how good it was to work for Smith prior to Smith and Slum merging. Can others confirm this?

Smith s---ered SLB into paying 10 billion for a 3 billion company - other than drill in fluids eg MI, what else did it get us?
The fact that Smith couldn't survive on its own says everything about the company.
Just remember that at one time in the past everyone lived in a wonderful place where the weather was nice and all you had to do all day was not eat apples...
It does not matter in SMITH, Schlumberger or any other company were good to work for in the past. We live in the present. If you don't like your job either change the work environment so it is better or move to a different company. If you are afraid of moving then really the work/money cannot be so bad for your skillset. If you think you can get better pay and conditions (short or long term) somewhere else why are you not working there?
Only big dogs worked for SII!
Plenty of puppy dogs in the oil service game.
Ok here's the deal. Smith was a great place to work until Muzzi was put in charge. Cecci is just his puppet. Muzzi said all of Ponca employees were over paid. He is the main reason SII Ponca City is moving. He has been fixing books for years. He is untrustworthy aswell as Cecci. The Italian cartel ruined SII. PONCA City.
Yes. They don’t know the difference between a casting and a forging.
It’s harder than you think. Just another example of SLB’s lack of any manufacturing knowledge.
Your right, not very hard to do but the bone heads that bought smith can't seem to get it done!
The competition fears Schlumberger so much that it's offering large discounts to drill for them.😂
Slb may be a great service company but they s--- at manufacturing. You can't run a manufacturing plant the same as a service company.
I’m proud to work for SLB. Our clients respect us and competitors fear us! ALl these posts talking SLB down are fake!
I dare anyone to name 1 oilfield service company around today that has more happening than SLB
Ask any Legacy Smith hand and he’ll tell you it was a sad day when the merger happened! And what would bet the Slum guys too believe they screwed us
You know at Smith we used to pick our boogers and eat them... no-one complained, it was a great company.
Don’t know about Smith but Schlumberger before the transformation sh** was better place
your boss is ABSOULTELY RIGHT!!!!!!! plain and simple
