Thread regarding PepsiCo Inc. (Pepsi) layoffs

Today I cried

I was not terminated, but the stress from the last several weeks has been horrible. I cried for all the unnecessary stress that all of us went thru. I cried for all those who gave years to the company and were shown the door. I cried for the great company that had disappeared. I cried for those who will be shown the door in the near future. I hope I am out of tears for this company. I hope everyone can find a silver lining that were terminated.

+1. You're working for a company that produces sugar water and profits on the diabetes epidemic in America. Why on earth would anyone be proud to work for this sorry excuse for an organization? They will s--- you dry in order to pad the pockets of Indra and shift money to contracting firms based in India, further hurting the US economy.

I am PepsiCo is a SHAM and to work here is a SHAME!

worked for Pepsico for 14 years this year..... Wasn't terminated but seen some really good people at risk (gone in reality)... I'm based out of Europe so our labour laws are different people (rarely) just go on the day they have to go into consultation periods depending on number of people impacted.

Anyone who is still proud to work for Pepsi/FL after watching this go down for the nth time is a fool or just loves seeing human suffering.

I know many of you are spineless but those of you with a brain and some self respect, please start resisting and not carrying all of the burden of our colleagues that were canned. Working harder is not going to guarantee you will be spared next time, so get by with the bare minimum possible while refreshing your resume, enhancing your professional network, and brushing up on your interview skills.

Pepsi/FL may be dying but we've all got a lot more going for us so put the thoughts and prayers aside and start taking some real action for yourself.

Yes, the Purose of working at PepsiCo is to springboard to a better job. I found that out this week sadly, I was spared but I will be moving on this year.

I was someone who got laid off this week. Days removed, I'm already on the right track towards the next chapter of my professional career. PepsiCo's loss, in the long run - not mine.

How cruel to put all of these people through such a gut wrenching week. These are real people with real feelings. I hope the next time you decide to kick the people (who have made FL the company what it is ( and don't forget who has kept Pepsico afloat all these years) to the curb. Everyone saw how this went down. Have some respect for those not terminated. They had to watch while this blood bath went down. Do you really think they are proud to work for you? It was disgusting. Have some respect for those people you pretend to "cherish". Close down the campus the next time you feel like conducting your so called business in such a reckless manner.

There is a great saying which I think pertains to the CIA, but is applicable everywhere: "You may fall in love with the Company, but the Company does not fall in love with you".

A business arrangement, is all.

I feel you and I’m with you. I was not terminated but I feel it for the people that it was. For me, I just find out that is time to look for a better place to work
