Thread regarding Windstream Corp. layoffs

So what’s next?!?

Doesn’t look like much went on today. Will they chop any more heads next month?

The direction is becoming clear. SD WAN and OfficeSuite are the products, look for the TDM Network to be sold off. They are making a big push to get as many customers converted to OfficeSuite quickly. They are following the Broadview model on a much larger scale.

I agree this has a huge impact on the day to day, for repair and SD. This team is literally the back bone and does a whole lot behind the scenes.

A few years back they took a lot of access away from people and gave the NOC's all access. and structured all process to funnel up to these groups.

Just ask how disco out sourcing has worked. :-(

They will gladly give you Win Stock for you 401Match. Nobody else wants it.

How would I affect the match?

Not sure I agree. Outsourcing the VNOC to a third party is kind of a big deal, especially for those affected.

I would bet more layoffs are in the future. If you can outsource the voice NOC, why not transport? Why not data?

I wonder if this will affect the 401k match?
